# Personal agent

An agent that acts on your behalf, using your permissions.

It comes in two kinds. One uses your login and appears as you, so the logs usually cannot tell you apart. The other has its own name and a share of your permissions, so it can be limited and switched off without touching your account. Ask which kind a tool is before you connect it to email or company systems.

Also called: Delegated agent, On-behalf-of agent

Kind of: Agent

Often confused with: Enterprise agent

The other half: Internal agent

Related: Acts as you, Acts for you
